Privacy Policy

Effective 20 September 2026

We collect the minimum information needed to run a trustworthy course-evaluation platform. This document explains, in plain language, what that information is and what we do with it.

1.Scope

Bagsh Space (“Bagsh Space”, “we”, “us”) is an independent, student-built platform at bagsh.space where students of the National University of Mongolia share course and instructor evaluations and plan their studies. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the University.

This policy describes what personal information we collect when you use the service, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.

2.Information we collect

Account information. You may sign in with Google, with Facebook, or with a link sent to your university email address. When you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive only the basic profile information you approve on that provider’s consent screen: your name, email address, profile picture, and the provider’s unique identifier for your account. We never receive or store your Google or Facebook password, and we do not request access to your friends list, posts, messages, or contacts.

Content you submit. Reviews, ratings, comments, likes, chat messages, and any profile picture you upload.

Usage and device information. Pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and error diagnostics, collected through cookies and similar technologies described in Section 5.

3.How we use information

  • To create and authenticate your account and keep it secure.
  • To publish the reviews and ratings you choose to submit, and to mark reviews from verified university email addresses.
  • To prevent abuse, such as duplicate or fraudulent reviews and spam.
  • To understand how the service is used and to fix errors.
  • To respond to your requests and to comply with the law.

4.What is public

Reviews and ratings are visible to everyone. Your email address is never displayed publicly. Depending on your profile settings, your profile picture may appear next to content you post; you can hide it at any time from your profile page. Please do not include personal information about yourself or others in the text of a review.

5.Cookies and service providers

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with providers that process it on our behalf, each under its own privacy terms:

  • Google Firebase— authentication and database services.
  • Meta (Facebook Login) and Google Sign-In— identity verification when you choose those sign-in methods.
  • Amazon Web Services— application hosting, database, and file storage.
  • Google Analytics and Hotjar — aggregated usage analytics.
  • Google AdSense— advertising, which may use cookies to show relevant ads. You can manage ad personalisation in your Google account settings.
  • Sentry— error and performance monitoring.

We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect the rights and safety of our users.

6.Retention and security

We keep account information for as long as your account exists. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access to production systems is restricted to the maintainers. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

7.Your rights and data deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time.

To delete your account and data, email Baljinnyam.Dayan@gmail.com from the address associated with your account with the subject “Data deletion request”. Within 30 days we will delete your account, your sign-in identifiers received from Google or Facebook, your profile picture, and your likes, and we will delete or irreversibly anonymise the reviews you have written.

You can also revoke our access at the source: for Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, select Bagsh Space, and choose Remove; for Google, visit myaccount.google.com/connections. Removing access stops future sharing; to erase information we already hold, send the deletion request described above.

8.Children

The service is intended for university students and is not directed to anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9.Changes and contact

We may revise this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site, and the effective date above will be updated. Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to Baljinnyam.Dayan@gmail.com.
